On March 6th, 1981, the Wychwood School team from Banbury Road, Oxford, celebrated their win in the Oxford Quiz Competition. The team, composed of Josephine Holmes, Eachel Taggart, Doulla Peros and Reidi Bastable, won by a margin of 16 points. The competition was organized by Thames Valley Police and sponsored by the Trustee Savings Bank. Triumph The Eantur final was a triumph for the Blessed George Napier School, which took first and second places. Kids with all the answers aim for 200 jackpot MEET the young crime busters, who swept to victory in a crime prevention quiz. won the Sorensen Trophy, record albums and a 50 cheque. then fought one another for the trophy, the A team beating the B team by two points. The school won 75, which will go towards books for the library, and the A team was presented with the Alcan Trophy by Mr Gareth chairman of Banbury Jeremy, Crime Prevention Panel. This team now also goes forward to the Thames Valley final. More than 1,000 children have taken part in the quiz which is organised by Thames Valley Police and sponsored by the Trustee Sav- ings Bank.
