Naval Officers and Cadet Officers who are in residence at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, use the famous Painted Hall for their Mess. 9 The Kitchens which are situated directly below the Painted Hall, have the most up-to-date cooking appliances, and cater for the service of all meals which are taken in the Hall. They are manned by Wren Cooks who work under a male Chef and male Cooks. These Wrens have the opportunity of first hand instruction on quantity catering and quantity feeding, which will be useful for a post-war world. The Painted Hall, Royal Naval College.
